J. Period has finally dropped his long awaited mixtape, The RISE UP Project. This new 10 track offering features Black Thought, Posdnuos, Pharoahe Monch, Rhymefest, Dead Prez, and Aloe Blacc just to name a few. It also boasts production by J. Period, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Khalil, Stro Elliot, and Tall Black Guy among others. The project has been a long time in the works. Two years ago the tracklist and features were announced, which clearly grabbed everyone’s attention. Now we finally have it, and it was well worth the wait.
