Legendary underground hip hop duo Blu and Exile will be performing live at Trill’s 4 Year Anniversary on Saturday, April 29th!
Blu & Exile hail from Los Angeles, California where they first met in the mid-2000s. Introduced to one another by Aloe Blacc, the 2 quickly vibed and began to work on music. On July 17, 2007 Blu and Exile would release their first album together, Below The Heavens. This the first of 4 albums the LA based duo would release, and would quickly become a fan favorite. The album was even coined as one of the best releases that year by several critics and publications.
Whether together or solo, Blu & Exile have been steadily touring and putting out music for 20+ years. Calling them talented individuals would be an understatement. Their unique style has certainly left an impression on fans all across the globe. We were blessed to have them perform at the shop last year on their 15th anniversary tour of Below The Heavens, and it was by far one of the best performances we have ever had at the shop.

Needless to say we are very excited to have Blu and Exile performing at this year’s anniversary. Other acts for this massive 2 day event will include Freestyle Fellowship, El Da Sense of the Artifacts, MC Supernatural, Volume 10, Afro Classics & Mystic Journeymen just to name a few. If you love hip hop, this is certainly an event you won’t want to miss.
Trill’s 4 Year Anniversary will be taking place on Saturday, April 29th & 30th at Trill Hip Hop Shop. Aside from the incredible line-up of hip hop legends, attendees can also expect to enjoy the Funky Flea Market featuring industry vendors, DJ sets by the Coolin Out DJ Squad, live art, and food truck / vendors.
