Back in February Trill Hip Hop Shop hosted Fader Manners, a monthly turntablism session created by DJs Les735 & DJ Akshen, and invited 3x DMC World Champion DJ JFB to come through and perform. What took place during that couple of hours was absolutely incredible.
Fader Manners, created by DJs Akshen & Les735, is a monthly dedicated to the DJ/Turntablist art form uniting DJs of all skill levels to scratch, talk, laugh, & create camaraderie. Once a month they set up several turntables at Trill Hip Hop Shop and invite anyone and everyone who is interested to come hang out and DJ. No matter the skill level, all are welcome. The idea is to teach, share, build, and enjoy turntablism.
Some of the events feature very special guests. Some of the guests have included Q-Bert, D-Styles, Shortkut, Grand Wizard Theodore, Mista Sinista, and Rob Swift just to name a few. Back in February, Fader Manners was very blessed to have 3x DMC World Champion DJ JFB. What took place during that evening was nothing short of amazing. Luckily, the homie DJ Reflekshin was able to get 15 min of footage showcasing some of what we all experienced that night.
Aside from being one of the illest DJ/Turntablists on the planet, DJ JFB is an incredibly nice, humble, and funny guy. He was almost in in disbelief over his 3x win at the DMC. In 2021 the Brisghton, UK native won the DMC World Final, the DMC Beat Juggling battle, and the DMC Team battle along side partner DJ Angelo under the name BREXecutioners. An incredible feat to say the least. JFB was just a few months after his win and was traveling the world showcasing his talents and we were lucky enough to be one of the stops while he was over here in the US.
If you ever have the opportunity to catch DJ JFB live, do not hesitate. His showmanship and skill are 2nd to none. Whether rocking hip hop, funky breaks, or Drum & Bass, JFB will absolutely astonish you.
