Released in 1994, Resurrection was Common’s second studio album. This was the beginning of maturing lyricism for the Chicago based MC after his freshman release, Can I Borrow A Dollar. With tracks like “Resurrection” and “I Used To Love H.E.R.”, this project gained instant notoriety. Personally, this has always been my favorite studio album in Common’s discography, with Like Water For Chocolate a close second. Press play and take a walk down memory lane. Enjoy!
